What to expect

The company says it will offer those interested a closer look at several of its concept models, including the EV3 and EV4, as well as the EV9 and EV6 GT. Kia also promises to look at the first so-called “platform outside the vehicle” (PBV), which is planned for mass production in 2025.

Kia describes the PBV as a mobility solution that combines “fit-for-purpose electric vehicles with advanced software solutions that open the door to new businesses and lifestyles.” To that end, the automaker talks through PBV technology, its “software-defined vehicle strategy” and partnership plans.

The brand has teased some of its EV goals over the past year. For example, the EV9 concept with seven seats and a large trunk was tested. Back in October, Kia offered more details on the EV3, EV4 and EV5 before unveiling a closer look at the first two of them the following month. It looks like it won’t be too long before the public gets behind the wheel of at least one of these vehicles.

We report live from the CES 2024 event in Las Vegas from the 6th to the 12th. January. Stay up to date with all the latest news from the show here.
